Email marketing

After years of trying to monetize social media, there’s welcome news. Social media experts show that blogging can increase traffic to a B2B website up to 81% after you have a cache of 21 – 54 articles, and it can also get you up to 30% more warm leads. And, it builds trust with clients and target audience.

Yay! Let’s get started… Oh, but wait. What about relevant topics that are consistent with your brand? And, how often should you blog? What about keywords so the right customers find you?

Even though these statistics are important, there’s a little more to the blogging business than slapping words on a website. As I’ve mentioned in past blogs, you have to know your audience and their interests. Here are a couple more steps to get great blog results.

• Establish a Calendar – A content calendar will help you develop a consistent voice, and content stream that keeps readers coming back. Plan on posting new blogs as often as possible.

• Create the Content—Spend time consistently developing blog articles that are of interest to your primary audience.

• Optimize—Keywords are essential to get effective results. That’s how people who don’t know about you—but should know about you—find you.

• Utilize Social Media platforms—Let your LinkedIn and Facebook fans know about your latest blog post. If they think their friends would like the content, they may pass it on!

• Tie blogs into email campaigns—Again, let your clients know and they may pass the word on to colleagues who can benefit from this information.

If you’re too busy closing sales, running your company or lack the experience to put together the elements of a successful blog campaign, an experienced marketing copywriter and content can help.
